1. Hostgator cPanel
First login your Hostgator cPanel. If you don’t have Hostgator account and Don’t know how to open it then read my this post. It will help you to buy a hostgator account.
After login you will see your Hostgator cPanel like this.
Find Database section in your cPanel. You will see four options in there. Click on MySQL® Databases icon.
3. Create New Database
Then you will see a text area in next page. Enter your database name in text box. You can enter any name but any spaces or special characters are not allowed in your database name. Once you have entered the database name in the textbox, click the Create Database button.
4. Database Was Created
After clicking on the Create Database button, a new page will show that the database was created .Your account username will be prepended to the new database name. If you entered ‘waystomakesite‘ as your database name, the actual database name will be username_ waystomakesite .
5. Create a User
Now you need to create a user for your new database. Scroll down to the bottom of the MySQL Databases page and you will see the Add New User form to create a user for your database.
Scroll down to the bottom of the MySQL Databases page ,you will see Add User To Database section in there.
In the first select box, find and select the database user you have created and in the select box, locate and select the database you have created. Once you have selected the database and user, click the Add button to add the user to the database.
After clicking on the Add button, the MySQL Account Maintenance page will appear.Set the database privileges and click on the Make Changes button.
Done! You have successfully created a new MySQL database for your website. Now go to next step to create your own website.
